New Home Care Service Launches in Reading and Wokingham – with a Focus on Quality

A new home care service has launched in Reading and Wokingham.  Ghizlane Tadili is now bringing high-quality personalised care services to her local communities.

Ghizlane, owner of the Walfinch home care service in Wokingham and Reading, says:  “At Walfinch our philosophy includes delivering care that passes ‘The Mum Test’ – that is care you would want for your own mum. People needing care, and their families, want a bespoke high-quality service, which is what we aim to provide.”

Ghizlane says: “As a mum of two school-aged daughters myself, I understand what sensitive, personalised care means in practice.”

Ghizlane chose to get into the care sector with the Walfinch franchise because it offered the flexibility of self-employment with the support of an experienced franchise development team who would help her create a business that she could fit around her own family.

Community events

Ghizlane is already making herself known at local community and charity events. Most recently she took a stall at the Wokingham and District Association for the Elderly (WADE) Day Care Centre Summer Fair, where she and her Registered Care Manager Jo Clifton gave away gifts and ran a tombola which raised £250 to help the charity maintain its services.

Debra Pahalka, Manager at Wokingham and District Association for the Elderly (WADE) Day Care Centre says: “We appreciate working with Ghizlane, and her team and will be delighted to work with them again in the future.”

Ghizlane was also involved with WADE’s Coronation celebration in the day care centre’s garden, where her care team helped clients enjoy the day. She has also sponsored a hole at a charity golf event, as well as offering free bottles of water and providing plaques for the winning golfers.

“We also visited a hospital day care centre in Wokingham earlier this year where we handed out baskets of Easter gifts to clients,” she says.

Tailoring quality care

Ghizlane explains: “We aim to become the first for any kind of top-quality home care.

“I am very selective about the staff I take on, and I ensure they are personally trained by myself and Jo, here in our office, where we have all the resources and equipment required.

“Our home care calls are at least one hour long, to ensure we provide the right kind of person-centred care and companionship that people deserve, and our care services are always be designed around the wishes and needs of the client, so they are fully bespoke.”

Ghizlane’s team will deliver whatever care a client or their family requires, including companionship, personal care, respite care designed to give informal carers such as family and friends a break, care after hospital discharge, help with shopping, summer days out and much more.
